He has risen indeed!
Heading back to Israel tomorrow to prepare for the team to arrive May 15th!
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.” -Isaiah 9:6-7
Amen.

community. a key.
In biological terms, a community is a group of interacting organisms sharing a populated environment. In human communities, intent, belief, resources, preferences, needs, risks, and a number of other conditions may be present and common, affecting the identity of the participants and their degree of cohesiveness.
In sociology, the concept of community has led to significant debate, and sociologists are yet to reach agreement on a definition of the term. There were ninety-four discrete definitions of the term by the mid-1950s. Traditionally a “community” has been defined as a group of interacting people living in a common location. The word is often used to refer to a group that is organized around common values and is attributed with social cohesion within a shared geographical location, generally in social units larger than a household.
The word “community” is derived from the Old French communité which is derived from the Latin communitas (cum, “with/together” + munus, “gift”), a broad term for fellowship or organized society.

just for fun i decided to post one of me and my dad :) handsome isn’t he!
-
meet my grandfather and mom. aka: mur mur and momma.
this very well could be a pic of me and my dad. i look so much like her :)
one key i have discovered is family. past and present they are a part of who you are today. their actions and decisions affect you and you affect those in the future. it completely goes against everything we’ve heard and been taught about “you are you own person” and “your decisions only affect you” etc.
family is so important to God that He adopts us into His own, He lists genealogies is His Word, Jesus called us His brothers and sisters, honoring your parents gives you life, blessings go down to the thousandths of generations, and so much more-so there’s got to be something more to family than we understand right?
we all have a heritage and leave a legacy. what’s your’s?

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy ; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” John 10:10
this is what happens when i have a few hours to myself on my birthday :)
really though I’ve wanted this tattoo for such a long time and so glad I got it! “zoe” is the greek word used in the new testament. it means “of the absolute fullness of life, both essential and ethical, which belongs to God, life real and genuine, a life active and vigorous, devoted to God, blessed, and to last for ever.” um, yes please!
its also in my dad’s handwriting :) bubba and i found some of daddy’s handwriting on old papers/tape around the house. i took it to the shop, they made some copies, traced it out, and then i was done!
my arteest, mike, was asking me about my dad so i told about him and why he inspires me to go after abundant life. turns out his father had just passed away from cancer a little over a year ago. it was great to share and talk with him about this word and what it means to me.
it also represents my family unit now: eliZabeth, hOlly, michaEl. they inspire me as well. i had him put it to where when i look down i can read it and see it :) the enemy may have stolen, a lot, but thank God His life is greater than death!
“For just as the Father has life in Himself, even so He gave to the Son also to have life in Himself” John 5:26, and then He gave it up for us to have…

God, teach me to pray.
[A quote from a book we’re reading as a staff throughout January]
“Jesus knows what prayer is. It is Jesus, praying Himself, who
teaches to pray. He knows what prayer is. He learned it amid the
trials and tears of His earthly life. In heaven it is still His beloved
work: His life there is prayer. Nothing delights Him more than to
find those whom He can take with Him into the Father’s presence,
whom He can clothe with power to pray down God’s blessing on
those around them, whom He can train to be His fellow-workers
in the intercession by which the kingdom is to be revealed on earth.
He knows how to teach.”
Andrew Murray, School of Prayer
I forget this. Often. Jesus prayed His entire life here on Earth
and He’s been praying from the beginningin heaven.
And even better-He LOVES it!
-why don’t I ask Him to teach me when “I don’t know how to pray”?
-why would I not want to pray down His blessings on those around me, continuously?
Jesus, teach me to pray!
